About the Chocolatier

Hello, I'm Marie Auriac, the chocolate magician behind La Chocolaterie Edinburgh. Originally from Madagascar, I grew up in sunny New-Caledonia, studied in France, and have now spent nearly a decade in the UK (kept my French accent, though)! ^^

Chocolate is a cherished family tradition, passed down from my grandmother to my aunt, and now to me! I dived into the UK chocolate scene in 2015, taking on sales roles in prestigious places like Lindt, Hotel Chocolat, and Harrods, as well as in artisanal shops across London. While I've balanced various retail, hospitality, and administrative positions, my true passion shines when I'm crafting chocolate.

After relocating to Scotland a few years ago with my little family, I took a bold step this year and finally opened my charming tiny chocolate shop in Leith!
